SEUS PE Shader

$

This is to date the most realistic shaders pack for Minecraft PE. The light of the sun and moon shimmers beautifully when reflected on the water. Shadows have been massively improved and so have the sky and the Nether. The hype for this is real and you should definitely give it a try if you want to experience a more realistic version of Minecraft.

Vietnamese Translation Pack

$
0
0

This is a resource pack which adds a Vietnamese language translation for all of the text in Minecraft Pocket Edition. Items, blocks and anywhere else that there is text displayed you can expect a translation as soon as you’ve enabled the pack in the language options in-game. This is a beta version and might include typos or other types of errors.

Creator: Nguyenwork

How to enable the Vietnamese translation?

Go to the language options after you’ve imported the resource pack and enabled it in your Global Resources. (A brief install guide can be found in the bottom of this post.)

Scroll down to the bottom of the language list and there you will find the Vietnamese language. Press the checkbox to enable it and then close the settings to save the configuration.

The new language will automatically be loaded as soon as you’ve closed the settings. It applies for most of the text in-game.

This resource pack also comes with coordinates. The coordinates can be used for easier navigation in Minecraft PE.

Installation

  1. Download Resource .McPack
  2. Open Minecraft PE
  3. Settings > Global Resources > Activate pack
  4. Close Settings
  5. Open Settings > Language > Select Vietnamese

You can get a .ZIP file for this pack here.

Round World Shaders

$

Are you a flat world believer? Well, no more I suppose! This shader makes the world in Minecraft look more round. It’s only the player who uses the resource pack which will be affected by this great visual change. It’s by no means a realistic pack as you can’t really sense the shape of the Earth just by walking. It’s still pretty cool though. Beware though, it might cause you to feel nauseous but it’s easy to disable the pack.

Creator: Pro Coder, Twitter Account
Updated: 8 April, 2017 (added support for Windows 10)

Entities from afar won’t be affected by the change. This includes mobs, signs, paintings and similar. However, all of the blocks are affected.

Installation

  1. Download Resource .McPack
  2. Open Minecraft PE
  3. Settings > Global resources > Activate pack
  4. Restart Minecraft PE (iOS: Double press “Home” button and slide Minecraft PE up to close it)

Starky’s 3D Texture Pack [128×128]

$
0
0

This texture pack adds a 3D illusion for some of the blocks in-game. Basically it will make some of the textures look as if they have depth and is not just a flat surface. If you are looking for textures to bring some more realism to Minecraft then it’s a good option. However, it’s still in an early stage of development and as a result there aren’t that many 3D textures currently.

  1. Download Resource .McPack
  2. Open Minecraft PE

TrippyPE Shader

TrippyPE is most likely something you’ve never experienced in Minecraft PE. It makes the entire world look wavy and unless you knew you had installed it you probably would have started to question your own sanity. The game is still entirely playable but things will definitely look a whole lot different which as a result makes playing it more difficult.

Defscape Texture Pack [32×32] [64×64]

Defscape is an elegant texture pack with a very clean look. It looks really nice both in medieval and modern types of maps. Every block texture is incredibly detailed because of the high resolution (64×64 pixels) but the details always look very well put in place and never overwhelming. Everything from blocks and items to the sky and water have been redesigned.

Flow’s HD is a modern and elegant texture pack. Every texture is very clean and gives Minecraft a very bright and joyful feel. The great thing about this pack is that it got both a lot of textures which are suitable for interior design as well as outdoor. A great pack for somebody who wants a combination of both.

LB Photo Realism PE [64×64]

$

0

LB Photo Realism is one of the most realistic packs for Minecraft on PC. Now it has been ported to Pocket Edition but only as a 16×16 resolution. Sure, it doesn’t look photo realistic but it definitely makes your worlds look slightly more realistic, especially the water and grass blocks. There are some things like the sky and grass which yet haven’t been ported but that will likely be fixed in a future update.

Matrix Shaders

This shader pack makes most of the world terrain look similar to the digital rain in the Matrix movies. The digital rain is basically the code representation for the virtual environment which Neo slowly comes to recognize and then a master to manipulate (or rather hack). It would have been even better if the textures actually had animated numbers, but it’s still pretty cool.

Arabic Translation Resource Pack

$

0

This resource pack adds an Arabic translation for most texts in Minecraft Pocket Edition. Keep in mind that I cannot confirm the accuracy of the translation since I don’t speak/write Arabic. It would therefore be nice to get some feedback from users who know the language.

Creators: Space_canvas (Twitter) (small text), SKAR_Gamer (big text)
Updated: 15 April, 2017 (added support for 1.1.0.x alpha/beta)

How to activate the Arabic translation?

First off you need to download the translation and install it (instructions can be found further down on this page). But you’re not done yet. Go to the Language Settings and scroll down to the bottom of the list to find the Arabic language (as seen in the image down below).

As soon as you’ve enabled the translation you will notice most of the text is using the Arabic translation.

The translation appears to work for everything and that includes items and blocks in a world.

Installation

  1. Download one of the following packs:
    1. Small Text Resource .McPack (1.0.x)
    2. Big Text Resource .McPack (1.0.x)
    3. Alpha/Beta Resource .McPack (1.1.0.x)
  2. Open Minecraft PE
  3. Settings > Global Resources > Activate pack
  4. Open the Language Settings and select the Arabic language

Autumn Texture Pack

$

This texture pack turns the birch leaves red, and grass and leaves are changed into a more dark and orange color. It’s done with something called colormap so it’s compatible with every other texture pack (such as John Smith Legacy) and it works with all pixel definitions (16x, 32x etc). It’s great if you are looking to give your worlds a more warm and cozy autumn feeling.

Creator: Sam Syvv (also known as samueric)

Here is an image of how the world looks with the Autumn Texture Pack enabled. If I were to disable it then the world would have looked less orange and more green.

It is possible to enable other texture packs (such as John Smith Legacy) as seen down below and it will still work. Just make sure to keep the Autumn Texture Pack as top priority in your global resource settings.

Here’s another image of the John Smith Legacy and the Autumn pack combined.

The next two images are using the default textures and the autumn pack.

Installation

  1. Download Resource .McPack
  2. Open Minecraft PE
  3. Settings > Global Resources > Activate pack (make sure it is set to top priority if you are using it with other texture packs)

Faithful PE [32×32] [64×64]

$

Do you like the default textures in Minecraft but wish it existed as the double resolution? If that’s the case then the Faithful PE texture pack is the perfect solution. It keeps the original look of Minecraft but the resolution is two times better (32×32 instead of 16×16 pixels) which makes the graphics look a lot better. This texture pack has long existed for the PC version of Minecraft and today you are able to download it for Minecraft Pocket Edition as well.

Beyond the Lands [16×16]

Beyond the Lands is a medieval and fantasy based texture pack with some realism. One importance of the pack is to try to stay faithful to the original Minecraft textures, while adding a new style of design to the game. In my opinion, it’s really one of the better packs currently available for Minecraft Pocket Edition.

This texture pack improves the overall look for explosions in Minecraft Pocket Edition. The resulting effect are explosion particles which are of much higher resolution. In that sense they are much more alike the explosions in the PC version for Minecraft, but not exactly the same. It’s a quite small detail but it actually greatly improves the game graphics.

This is a simplistic texture pack which changes all of the wool and carpet blocks. The primary difference you’ll notice is that the textures look much more clean and less pixelated. It’s perfect for anyone who want to use the wool and carpet blocks but need more gentle textures which don’t stand out too much.
